The Hills Homes team is run by business partners, Oliver and Dean, they have over 20 years experience in the residential building sector throughout Sydney. They are both local Hills boys who are passionate about providing a service for each client that exceeds their expectations.

They offer architecturally inspired modern designs that are affordable and functional. The Hills Homes team rely on highly skilled tradespeople to work on their projects to guarantee deliverables every time.

Every project they work on, one of the partners is always onsite to project manage all their trades to keep each build on schedule. They have a strong and reliable team that consists of fully qualified carpenters and apprentices that work together to ensure they reach each milestone in a timely fashion.

THE PROCESS

If you have never built a new home before, the thought of it can feel daunting and overwhelming, that’s where we come in and take the stress from you. Combining our experience with our passion to create dream homes – without the stress – is what we are renowned for. To help you to navigate the process of building a home, we have created our easy to understand, five step process.

STEP 1 – INITIAL MEETING

• We will conduct an onsite meeting to understand your needs and get to know each other.
• During the initial meeting we will start to dive into your design ideas. So, do some homework and come prepared with inspiration ideas, photos, styles that you love, functionality that you need and anything that will help our design team create the perfect design for you.
• It would be a great idea to purchase a section 10.7 (2&5) planning certificate from your council website, this will help our building designer learn about your property and assist with the design.

STEP 2 – DESIGN AND QUOTATION

• After we have received the above information, we will provide you with a design proposal and a cost estimate range (please note this is not your final quote).
• If you would like to proceed with the design and quote, we will send you a preliminary agreement and we will get to work.
• The floor plan and elevations will then go through approval stages and once the design is locked in, we will then provide you with a costing for your dream home design.
• We will work on the quotation, adding or changing inclusions etc until everything is perfect and ready to start the construction stage. This will be an estimate that is subject to change upon receiving more documentation from consultants such as a geotechnical report, structural design, and BASIX.

STEP 3 – PRE-CONSTRUCTION

• Once the quote is agreed upon and you have accepted it, we will then move forward with construction plans, BASIX certificate, structural design etc ready for CDC or DA submission.
• Our building designer will submit the plans and receive a construction certificate ready to commence building.

STEP 4 – CONTRACTS AND COMMENCEMENT

• Now all documentation is received we can finalise the quote, sign contracts and commence!
• We will choose a commencement date that works for both parties. Once construction has commenced, we will schedule regular site visits to make sure you are happy, up to date and if you wish to make any changes to inclusions etc.

STEP 5 – HANDOVER AND DEFECTS

• The day has finally arrived! We will hand over the keys to your new home and do a walk through to make sure everything is fine.
• It’s inevitable to find defects after living in your home for a while. We will always be on hand to rectify anything you may find.
